A truly unique home for an exclusive property! The plan development stage of this home was unlike any other we have done. With it being a large corner lot in an established community with old-growth trees, we were able to design a home that maximized natural light and privacy in every single room, something that is not common when building in an inner-city community such as Elbow Park. Once the design was completed and we were ready to break ground, the interior design phase started. Working with a neutral pallet of black, white, and natural wood tones, we created a harmonious design that was carried throughout the home. The incorporation of custom iron and glasswork on the main and lower level was used to give definition to the informal dining space that was right off of the foyer and the wine room that was tucked under the staircase in the lower level giving separation without dividing the space and creating a closed-off feel. The addition of brushed brass for the faucets, lighting, and hardware was selected to play off of the custom black stained cabinetry throughout the home. The use of a simple yet dramatic pallet like this is a great way to add drama to any space, and this home is a fantastic example.
