Down to the studs, that is the best way to describe this full home renovation in Lakeview Village. The clients had lived in the home for two years before the work began; they wanted to see how they lived in the space and discover what was most important for them to incorporate before the renovation work began. Once the original floorplan and exterior were drafted, we worked with the clients to turn a once dated exterior and choppy floorplan into an open concept home flooded with natural light. The extensive renovation consisted of two small additions, one on the main level and another on the upper level, a new staircase design, new windows, roof, and exterior cladding. We were able to reconfigure the home interior to include a more family-friendly open concept main level with a large mudroom and laundry room, expanded kitchen and dining area, and a stunning entrance with custom wood entry doors. On the upper level, a new marble filled master ensuite was designed, and an additional bathroom was added for their children. The interior custom cabinets are a combination of lacquered & waxed walnut, the perfect complement to the finished onsite hickory hardwood flooring. The overall renovation has a charming modern farmhouse feel that flows perfectly from the new exterior into the interior of the home.
