Calgary Custom Build | Hillhurst Infill 1
We love a challenge, and this was a fun one! When you only have 17' to work with when designing and building an inner-city home in Calgary, you have to be creative and ensure that the materials and design complement the space, that they do not overpower it. This custom home in Hillhurst on the northwest side of the city is a prime example of finding that perfect balance. Oversized windows were incorporated in every room and on each elevation to give a feeling of airiness, pairing that with 10' ceilings on the main and vaulted ceilings on the upper level, you have a home that feels open and airy. The top level has an incredible master suite with a large walk-in closet that was finished with custom built-ins, a large multiple head steam shower, free-standing tub, and heated floors, a beautiful retreat after a long day. With two additional bedrooms and a full bathroom, the upper level was finished with a walk-in laundry room. In the lower level, we carried the custom maple cabinetry through the walk-up wet bar and wine room. This brings consistency throughout all three levels of this home.
