Calgary Custom Build | Altadore I
The first of the trifecta, three custom homes built side by side in the neighbourhood of Altadore. With this first property acting as a showhome for Veranda, we wanted to push the envelope and create a design that Calgary had yet to see implemented into home design. As soon as you enter the custom wood front door, you are greeted with unique details that set this home apart. The custom railing was a combination of iron, glass, and white oak, a design at that time, one of a kind. Then into the office where a unique millwork detail was meticulously pieced together by true craftsmen to create a feature wall in a dramatic dark grey colour. The custom white kitchen has an industrial feel, yet it is still inviting, with white subway tile, charcoal grout, stainless steel backsplash and hood that is flanked by open white oaks shelves. The use of antique brass accents was used throughout this home, including the plumbing fixtures, lighting, and cabinet hardware. Pair that with matte black passage doors and beautiful 1/2 sawn oak, and chevron tile detailing, and you have one stunning combination that has served as inspiration for many other homes and projects since.
