Originally built and designed as our showhome in Watermark, a community in the northwest outskirts of Calgary, this home had it all, and we happened to find the perfect homeowners quickly, and they were able to make it their home. The exterior features a prairie style detailing with full bed brick, Alberta sandstone accents, and extended overhangs finished with stained cedar soffits. Once you enter through the handcrafted wood front door that is made by local artisans, you are greeted with soaring ceilings in the foyer and stairwell that is flooded with natural light from windows on multiple sides. A home office and formal dining room are just off of the foyer, and each space has unique detailing from the custom built-ins to the shaker style wainscotting. The back of the home has a large white farmhouse style kitchen with a unique X detail that is continuous from the ends of the island to the upper glass cabinet design, and even the shadows cast on the ceiling for the hanging lanterns over the island. This is proof that every detail was thought of for this home. Materials throughout were meticulously selected, including the rustic wide-plank hardwood, the leathered kitchen counters and the marble slabs and mosaics incorporated into the master suite.
