On a beautiful tree-lined street, this estate home in the northwest community of Hillhurst has a timeless design on the exterior and interior. For the interior selections, they all started with beautifully honed marble slabs that would take centre stage in the kitchen and butlers pantry for not only the countertops but also the solid slab backsplash. With hints of gold running through them, we knew that we had to bring in a warm wood tone to compliment the natural beauty. Custom alder corbels were handcrafted for the hood fan surround that was topped with lacquered shiplap detailing. On the island, we did a combination of alder and the shiplap again, bring these spaces together. The balance of the kitchen had alder base cabinets and white upper cabinets, it helps anchor the massive space, and it brought in some character with the movement in the wood. Another stunning area in this home is the master bathroom with the most exquisite marble flooring laid in a herringbone pattern and a full marble steam shower. Even the smallest details were meticulously thought about in this home, and it is evident in the stunning images from its completion.
